The Infant School had its Ofsted in May 2007.

The Inspectors wrote: "This is a good school with outstanding features.  The outstanding care and support provided by dedicated teachers and support staff enable pupils to develop as extremely responsible and caring young citizens.  The work of the school in promoting family learning has an outstanding impact on bringing the community together. At the heart of the school's vision is its determination to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment in which pupils can happily and successfully learn and play.  Pupils' personal development is outstanding.  Pupils thoroughly enjoy coming to school, they behave well and report that there is no bullying.  They know who to turn to if they are upset.  Throughout the school the quality of teaching and learning is consistently good.  In all lessons warm relationships play a significant part in the quality of learning.  Pastoral support, based on Christian values is excellent.  Parents value highly the work done by the school.  A typical comment from a parent: 'You are always welcome in school and encouraged to help.'  The head teacher effectively leads a continally improving and highly inclusive school."

In a letter  to the pupils the Inspector said:" Thankyou for the lovely welcome you gave us.  There a lots of super things your school does for you.  You respond really well by trying really hard in your lessons and getting on together so well.  You all need to try really hard to improve your writing, but especially the boys. I have also asked that your teachers help you more with your speaking skills.  Thankyou for being so friendly and willing to talk about your school and your work.  Keep on enjoying school and trying really hard."

We are setting up a web site that will give the school prospectus and photographs.  The link will be posted here as soon as it is live.
